Although now associated with Disney’s adaptation of a fairytale by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, the Scandinavian name Elsa dates far back to the 15th century. The Elsa bustier also evokes centuries-old tradition –– of handmade corsetry.
Traditional corsetry brings to mind romanticism and femininity, but also constraint from stiff boning and tightly-tied lacing. The Elsa bustier reimagines such pieces and, while still feminine and form-fitting, fits seamlessly into a modern wardrobe. Worn with the Astrid skirt, trousers and blazer, or your favorite pair of jeans, the Elsa is versatile enough for a variety of occasions. Regardless of how you style her, whether dreamy, sensual, bold, or casual, you’ll find that the Elsa bustier is the staple piece you never knew you needed.
The Elsa Bustier was designed by Murlong Cres for the Autumn/Winter 2021 season. Inspired by Scandinavian tradition and the art of corsetry. Produced with care in a small, family-owned factory in Zhejiang, China.
This bustier features long shoulder ties, a structured bodice, and a ruched bust. Zipper at the back. Fully lined. 100% cotton body. 100% silk ties and bust.
